Japanese-inspired Dinner Date at Akira, The Art of Sushi and Teppanyaki

Akira Burgos Circle

After attending the gala night of Mga Anino ng Kahapon last week, Daddy A and I went on a late night dinner date at Akira, The Art of Sushi and Teppanyaki in Burgos Circle. You see, Daddy A recently developed this obsession for finding the best ramen within the metro. 😀 So, when we walked by Akira, he eventually persuaded me to try it out (because I wanted to eat steak then).

We ordered a plate of Akira California Roll[1] for our appetizer. We are huge fans of california rolls and this one is one of the best we’ve tried.

For Daddy A’s main meal, he ordered a bowl of Wagyu Tonkatsu Ramen[2]. We give this one four thumbs up. It is, by far, the yummiest ramen I’ve tried. This says a lot because I am not a fan of ramen — I find it malansa, you know what I mean? In fact, I’ve always wondered why Daddy A is so crazy for it!

I, on the other hand, ordered Bento Ebi Tempura[3], which is A FEAST, for my main meal. If Daddy A is crazy for ramen, well, I am crazy for ebi tempura! I just wish the bento had more Ebi Tempura, though. Other than that, it was perfect since it has sushi, salad, chicken and fruits.

They have lots of dishes that I would like to try so I am definitely coming back to Akira for another meal!

Have you tried eating at Akira already? What’s your favorite dish?
