Because he’s a chef wanna-be.

My husband just loves cooking. He’s a huge chef wanna-be that he even serves our regular meals in beautifully furnished platters. Yep, he’s all about the taste and presentation! Because of this, it takes him ages to cook and prepare our food when it’s his turn in the kitchen. No one ever complains, though. Why? Because when it’s his shift, we all feel like we’re eating in a 5-star restaurant. 😀

Take this simple breakfast as an example. This is just your usual corned beef and egg breakfast– but he added spices, mango cubes, almonds, and a chocolate truffle!

Isn’t that fancy? Lol. It was supposed to be a surprise breakfast-in-bed for me, but I caught him preparing it. Here’s another one of his creations:

This is my favorite Filipino food… Chicken Afritada. Delightful! I have to admit, he’s not just good at presentation. He’s also really good at tweaking recipes to make his dishes even more delectable!
