A Benefit Concert + Giveaway! -closed-

How’s everyone doing? Okay. I know I said I’d have this giveaway up by last weekend, but since I haven’t been feeling well (again — I swear, the colds just keep coming back to me!), I had to delay posting the Blog Anniversary Giveaway I promised. Now that The Minis are taking their afternoon nap and the house is squeaky clean (which rarely happens so I’m very thankful), I can finally talk about what we did a few days ago.

After going to Blogapalooza 2013 and chillaxing at Greenbelt in a family movie party with Ford Philippines, Daddy A and I took the kids to my parents’ house then we headed to Smart Araneta Coliseum for my husband’s most awaited part of the day — Sagip Kapamilya’s all-star benefit concert for the victims of the Zamboanga crisis, the earthquake in Central Visayas and those affected by Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

Now, I don’t get too excited about celebrities, but my husband is such a fan boy! Kunwari lang na pa-cool yan pero pag nakakita ng celebrity eh hindi makapagpigil! I remember one time (sorry, Daddy A, I just have to share this one!), Daddy A — who was then my boyfriend — went to Ateneo with me to get my ID. While we were walking to Xavier Hall, he saw Maxene Magalona and started pulling my arm and loudly said, “Si Maxene Magalona! Si Maxene Magalona!” Medyo nahiya ako guys kasi kaklase ko si Maxene sa PolSci n’on. Haha! Ano kaya nasa isip niya?

So anyway. When ABS-CBN announced that they will be having a benefit concert, aba! Inaraw-araw ni Daddy A ang Ticketnet website! His efforts paid off because he was able to land good seats in the full-house stadium.

I’m such a kill joy lang because I know Daddy A wanted to stand with the crowd and wave his arms from left to right, but I just sat down the whole time munching on my hotdog in a bun with mayo, ketchup, mustard sauce and pickles — God, I love pickles! In fairness, though, the concert was pretty good. I especially loved the performances of El Gamma Penumbra, Jamie Rivera and The Voice Philippines winner, Mitoy. I was glad to finally hear Ms. Leah Salonga sing live, too.

Although it’s not my thing to watch concerts like that, I’m actually pretty happy that we supported it because at least we know that aside from the entertainment we got, we also helped the people who need assistance after all the tragedies that struck the Philippines.

I’d like to share the spirit of helping to you, dear readers, through a giveaway. Did you see the shirts that the celebrities are wearing? I’m giving away two (2) Tulong Na, Tabang Na shirts to two blog readers! I’m a bit tired of using Rafflecopter so I’ll change things for this giveaway. If you want to win one to the two shirts, simply create a caption for this photo:

Comment on this post with your caption and the two people that make Daddy A and I laugh the most will win! If you make us laugh extra hard, I might just throw in a Mom 24/7 Planner from Mommy Mundo. 😉 Good luck!

AND THE WINNERS ARE…
Aisa Vagilidad and Joy Bertoldo-Adalia
