At the beginning of the year, Arjay and I started implementing limited screen time in our household to encourage creative and independent play. The change did not just apply to the minis but also to us, their parents. This meant limited television and iPad time (and laptop time for me).
While some parents frowned at our decision, I can proudly say that we’ve done a good job as a family. The minis found other ways to entertain themselves: The Princess has created lots of amazing art works while The Little Man has shown interest in making music. Moreover, with less screen time, we have been encouraged to play and explore outside of the house, which is great since it doubles as our exercise time! The most wonderful result, however, is that our bond with the minis has become deeper.

It is the first of its kind in the world so I am glad to have been part of the group that got to try it out. Well, I watched parents and kids try the playground out – I didn’t have the minis with me then, sayang!
