Revisiting our home in the mountains

I love Breeze’s campaign, “Sige Sa Mantsa!” because I’m the kind of mom who would let the kids explore even if that means getting dirt on their hands and stains on their clothes. We strongly believe in learning through play so we make it a point to let them play every afternoon in our front porch or bring them to parks whenever we can.

This is why when Daddy A was assigned in a faraway town and brought us with him, we grabbed the chance to let the kids explore and experience nature. We went fishing, we hiked, we ran in fields, we played in the rain.

Just a few weeks ago, though, Daddy A was reassigned to a nearer town. This is awesome career-wise since he is now a fire marshal of a highly urbanized town. Plus, we are much nearer to important facilities like hospitals and schools. The downside is that we don’t have a lot of ‘nature’ in our new place. It’s weird because we always find ourselves feeling bored more often despite being surrounded by malls and amusement parks. Nature is a lot more fun!

So- when Daddy A told me that he will drive to his previous station today, I decided to go on a quick road trip with him. Grabe because the kids got so excited the moment they recognized where we were heading. It looks like they miss our home in the mountains, too.

Exploring Nature

Hay! I super miss the vast fields, the canopies of trees and the fresh air. I miss fishing for our dinner in the nearby lake. I miss eating fresh-from-the-harvest veggies for lunch. I will surely miss our home in the mountains. I hope to live here again in the future!
