The Happiest Day of My Life

Just thinking about today is already making me laugh. You know the kind of jokes that make you giggle even before you reach the punch line? Hahaha.

Let me start with the first funny story of the day, which pretty much kept me laughing the whole day. Again: HAHAHA.

Daddy A and The Princess were playing pretend rhino earlier today. They stuck those suction thingies used to hold aquarium dividers on their foreheads and clipped on toothbrush for their horns. The suction thingy went off the little girl’s forehead pretty easily.

But the one on Daddy A’s forehead stuck on pretty hard. And because it held on to his forehead, he had to pull it off with force… which left him with a black spot in the middle of his forehead. Again: HAHAHA.

I couldn’t take him seriously the whole day because of the spot on his forehead. What made me laugh harder was other people’s reaction to the spot. You see, after their pretend play, we went to Greenhills to buy a swim suit.

Imagine ha, we were walking around Shoppesville when a saleslady called Daddy A’s attention. “Kuya, ano nangyari sa noo mo? Bili na kayo dito!” she said. I couldn’t stop myself from laughing because Daddy A was so pikon. “Eh kung sunugin ko lahat ng paninda mo?” he answered back. Again: HAHAHA.

After our trip to Greenhills, we left the kids with their grandparents and headed to Starbucks to meet some people. Our meeting took more or less an hour then we headed straight home.

That’s when we caught The Princess with lipstick all over her face… and body. Her Lola fell asleep beside The Little Man so when the coast was clear, our sneaky little girl opened her Lola’s bag and played with her Lola’s make up kit.

She was so scared, she couldn’t smile!

I wanted to scold her, but the look on her face was just too funny. She knew she was in trouble so she froze up even when Daddy A and I were already laughing.

She only smiled after I gave her a bath and told her that everything’s okay. I think she’s most worried about how her Lola will react when she finds out about the lipstick disaster in the morning. The Princess is such a Lola’s girl so she doesn’t like disappointing her Lola dearest.

And that ended the happiest day of my life. Actually, may bad vibes din na nangyari… pero taob sa lahat ng kalokohan ng mag-ama ko. Hahaha!
