I’m going to be honest here. I had no idea about the destruction caused by Typhoon Yolanda until I finally watched the news last Monday. I mean, I knew the typhoon was destructive… but I didn’t know it was that destructive until I saw videos and photos. π My heart and my prayers are with the victims of the typhoon.

A few weeks ago, Denise of Bebengisms asked me if I was interested to have my hair done. Since my hair has been pretty much neglected for months already, I immediately said yes.
Homaygahd. I look old and haggard! This is exactly why I kept telling Daddy A and the Queen B that I am so thankful for this hair makeover c/o our friends from Cynos Philippines. I have been dying to get my hair done ever since before our Church wedding, but with a tight budget and no yaya, I never had the chance to do it.
CYNOS started in Korea in 1993 and became Asia’s leading fashion trend setter. By 2007, the company set up its distribution in Germany, making its name known in the high land of the hair and beauty industry. In 2010, Colornow Canada Limited acquired CYNOS after which an exclusive R&D laboratory was established. This is where the company did research and studies about the latest technologies in the hair cosmetics.
The word CYNOS is derived from CYNOSURE, which signifies the ambition to lead the way to fashion. CYNOS is also translated into C.Y.N.O.S., which stands for Cycle, Natural, Original, System–the company’s foundation and commitment to society.
With a goal to create quality, innovative and affordable products, CYNOS became known as a first class professional line of hair care products. Well, based on my experience, CYNOS products really are top quality…
Before our treatment began, the hair technicians of Cynos evaluated my hair. They asked about treatments I had, how long ago I had those treatments and what I want to do with my hair. Since I have been meaning to sport a red head, I took the plunge and chose the reddest red dye they have. If you like my color, it’s Cynos 7.6. πΒ I was so nervous while the hair technician was applying the dye. It was sooo red! Denise kept telling me that it looks good on me pero I was still anxious about how it will look on me and if I can wear it with confidence.
After applying hair color, the hair technician washed my hair then prepared it for the next phase. According to her, my hair isn’t too damaged so I don’t need keratin treatment. Instead, she applied Cynos’ Fix Duo on my hair. This is supposed to protect my hair from further damage and help maintain my new color.
Ta-da! I didn’t edit the image so you guys will see what the color really looks like. Nice, right? My hair looks so healthy! Just don’t mind the few strands that are standing up–that’s The Little Man’s fault. He likes pulling my hair. π In fairness, may pagka-fierce ang new color ko. Humanda sa akin ngayon ang mga dapat humanda! Hahaha π
Coloring your hair red requires a lot of maintenance. I found out from Cynos’ hair technicians that if I want to keep this color, I have to have my hair retouched every two months! Otherwise, the color will fade into a copper-ish tone then will eventually go back to the natural color.
To maintain my lovely new ‘do, Cynos Philippines also provided a couple of their products that I can use. According to the hair technicians, we can still use the usual shampoo and conditioner we use. However, this may result to faster fading of the color–especially the color I chose. Using Cynos’ shampoo and conditioner will help maintain the color for a longer period of time.
I love this pair! The shampoo and conditioner left my hair smelling wonderful and feeling silky soft. Plus, I don’t feel itchy after washing!
My goodie bag also came with two bottles of Morocco Argan Oil, which can be used on the hair, face and body. The oil is said to have restorative and age-defying effects, which is perfect for fighting loss of moisture and elasticity.
The Balance Conditioner, on the other hand, is perfect for those with chemically treated hair as it protects the hair from static while helping the hair absorb nutrients.
Finally, we have Cynos’ Keratin Treatment. Its job is to deeply penetrate the roots of the hair and intensively replenish moisture. This is also perfect for those with damaged hair.
If you’re wondering where you can have the treatment and buy the products, these are available in many salons already. Some of the salons with CYNOS products are Louis Phillip Kee Premiere Salon, Bench Fix Salon, Cre8 Salon and Jesse Mendez to name a few.

Homaygad talaga. Cynos pala may gawa nyan. I love the color.
actually my friends used thier product in his salon but the result is just like the product na mabibili sa divisoria at mukhang mas epektib pa ung mga made in china na mabibili don sa divisoria lalo na mga pang kolor nila once u apply on you hair after 1 week expect mo na mag ka kulay kalawang ang hair mo…..its not good products i guess
It is expected that your dyed hair will not maintain its color for a really long time…unless you don’t wash it at all. My red hair turned copper after a couple of weeks, but not within one week so I am not sure why your friend experienced that. I suggest that he/she call Cynos directly to report what happened.
As for Divisoria products, I am not very comfortable using those as I am not sure if they went through proper quality control.
