Still in search of the perfect couch…

We’ve been looking for the perfect couch for our living room since November, but can’t seem to find the one for us. Well, we did find one we liked, but it’s worth P60,000! Since we’re only renting and we expect to move to a permanent home in a few years, we agreed not to invest on such an expensive couch just yet.

This is how our current sofa looks like:

It serves as our bed at night because we still haven’t had a bed made yet. We’re basically just living in our living room when we have two bedrooms upstairs. It’s unbelievable that we’ve been living this way for almost three months now!

Well, the kids love our sofa-bed because they get to fold it in a way that it looks like a boat. Then they play pretend pirate ship with our curtains as the sails. I used to get so stressed about it because I’d always find the curtain pole bent in the middle due to their constant pulling… but kids will be kids. They eventually understood that they’re not supposed to pull on the curtains so they don’t pull too hard now.

Anyway. Back to the couch.

Since we can’t find one that’s perfect for us, we decided to just buy a custom-made couch so it will fit perfectly in our home.

A white couch would look great with our yellow and white living room walls, but it’s not advisable with two toddlers around. I think I’d die if I see a stain on a heavenly white couch! SO~ The next best option is to get a black couch instead. These are some of my design inspirations:
