Am I a good mother?

Of all the jobs I’ve ever done, it’s raising little humans that I find most challenging. So much depends on doing it right—and that scares me because there’s no handbook that will tell me how to do it right to begin with. I’m sure other parents feel the same way. And I’m sure we all ask the same questions when it comes to parenting our children.

FERN-C KIDZ is the only Vitamin C brand I trust for my kids! www.momonduty.com

In lieu of Mother’s Day, FERN-C Kidz shared a video where moms talk about their fears and self-doubt about being a “good mom”. Moms, prepare a box of tissue because you are going to cry buckets when you watch the video!

I cried myself because I share the same fears and doubts with the moms. I feel extra guilty on days when I’m drowning in work, wondering if my kids think I’m the worst mom ever for not going with them on their afternoon bike ride, or missing read-aloud time at night.

I often wonder if I’m doing this mothering thing right; if I’m doing everything to make my two children feel loved; if I’m giving my kids enough of my time.

The internet makes it even harder for us moms as it shows us pictures of what perfect mothering looks like—moms crafting with their kids, baking cookies, creating bento boxes. I don’t do any of those things and I’m not going to lie, I feel bad every time I see something like that online… especially that my two kids are into baking and arts.

I admit, I sometimes search ‘how to be a better mom’ when the kids are in bed and find myself even more frustrated because I can’t do all of those things.

But, at the end of the day, with kisses, tight hugs, and a billion I love you’s from Kelly and Caleb, I know I’m doing it right. “Just be you, mom,” my eldest always tells me. “I love you one billion!” my youngest would say.

I know I’m a good mom. For Kelly and Caleb, I am.

Whatever the internet says, moms know what is best for their child—especially when it comes to their health. That’s why I trust FERN-C Kidz for my kids’ protection against sickness! For a family that goes on many adventures, I need to ensure that my kids are in top shape so they can enjoy our travels.

FERN-C is a premium quality supplement that is formulated with Vitamin C (the same non-acidic form of Vitamin C used in the #1 Sodium Ascorbate brand in the Philippines, FERN-C) and Zinc, which help boost immunity. It also has the Quali-C Seal from DSM Europe, which stands for world-class quality.

Disclosure: This post was written in collaboration with FERN-C Kidz. As always, thoughts and words are all mine.

It is true. I sometimes wonder too if I am doing the right thing.
All I know is I love him, my son, but I am not sure if my parenting style is the right way.
