My Kid Just Said #13

the minis

I don’t know if it’s because her teacher was pregnant most of the first half of the school year (she gave birth a few weeks ago, congratulations Teacher M!) or if it’s because some of her schoolmates’ moms are pregnant, but The Princess has been bugging us endlessly for a new baby. You read that right, she and her little brother are requesting for a baby brother AND sister. Yes, they want twins. And they gave the twins names already. #kaloka

The Princess: Mommy, can there be babies in your tummy?

Me: What do you mean, baby?

The Princess: I want a baby brother and baby sister!

Me: You do? But who’s going to take care of them?

The Princess: Caleb and I will take care of them! We gave them names already!

Me: Really? What are their names?

The Little Man: Holly and Miley!

The Princess: Yes! The baby boy’s name is Miley and the baby girl’s name is Holly. Holly will go to school with me. Miley will stay home with Caleb because boys have no school. (She studies in an all girls school so her concept of school is that it’s for girls. Haha! Gotta talk to her about that.)

Me: Oh wow… but it’s not easy to have babies…

The Princess: Well, we can just go to the baby store and have them placed in your tummy!

So it has come to this. It looks like we’ll need to talk to the minis about babies and why we’re not having any, at least for now. The big question on my mind is, where are they getting all these ideas?!

The minis have also started talking about Christmas. We’re not even in the Christmas vibe yet at home, but they just woke up one day and began discussing their Christmas plans:

The Princess: Daddy, on the night before Christmas, I will go to sleep. And when Santa comes over to our house, I will wake up and say, “Surprise!”

Arjay: You have to stay asleep. Because if Santa sees you awake, he’ll pop! (Seriously, Daddy A?!?! Why so gruesome?!?!)

The Princess: And when I wake up on Christmas day, I want it to snow! Can you make it snow?

Arjay: But we only have two seasons: Rainy and Dry.

The Princess: That’s not right… We have five seasons: Sunny, Rainy, Windy, Cloudy. And when the cloud is full, it will be Snowy!

Hahaha! No comment na lang si Daddy A. =))

If these conversations are not entertaining enough, imagine our two minis speaking with different accents. It’s been happening since two weeks ago! The Princess has turned into British royalty while The Little Man has become an Aussie. I swear, we don’t know where they got these ideas!

Oh, we’re enjoying every bit of our conversations with them! I agree, it won’t be like this forever so we need to cherish their childhood. Thanks for dropping by!
