Work, Good Coffee, and Our New Normal

CAFE AT SUNSET 1

Arjay and I are crazy coffee lovers. We’re always on the lookout for the best cup of joe…and we don’t mind driving for hours to faraway locations just to sip a delicious cup of coffee. Thankfully, a new coffee shop opened just a few steps from our office–and it captured the fancy of our coffee-loving taste buds.

Café at Sunset is a newly opened cafe located on the 2nd floor of RUBLOU Market Place in Brookside Cainta. They serve coffee, pastries, and even meals. Although it’s just a 30-second walk from my office, I haven’t tried it until yesterday when Arjay dropped by the office to bring me a cup of coffee from Café at Sunset. The owner, who is a friend of ours, also sent some cupcakes to go with our coffee. Yummers!

CAFE AT SUNSET 2

The minis have been hanging out at the office as well ever since we moved to a nearby place. They’re surprisingly quite manageable here since they understand that when someone is working, they can’t bug the person. Well, the rules are different when that person is me. Lol! I don’t mind at all, though. Their hugs and kisses are very good reminders that I need to take a break every now and then.

When they’re not busy running around the office, eating snacks, or watching videos on their very own computer on their dedicated desk, the minis are usually sound asleep. I guess the cool air and relaxed vibe of the office make it easy for them to get some shuteye.

At around 6 in the evening, Arjay picks us up so we can go home together. On some days, the minis and I would go home on our own so we can make use of what’s left of the day for some play time or pool time.

We are still getting used to our new norm ever since we moved to our new place. Although we’ve got a lot of getting used to left, it’s a happy and welcome change!
