When we moved to our new place, Arjay and I immediately got busy trying to make the house feel like home. We bought furniture and appliances, mounted our TV and drilled a couple of hanging shelves on the living room wall. After that, we stopped. As much as we want to put up photos of our family on our walls, we didn’t because that would mean drilling more holes – which is something we want to avoid since we are just renting.
3M Philippines and Good Housekeeping Shares Smart Home Improvement Tips at the Get Hooked On DIY Event
Fret not, homemaker! You can decorate and organize your home without drilling holes on your walls! They have hooks and hangers of all sorts that will not damage your walls, will hold strongly and can work on pretty much any surface.
At the Get Hooked On DIY event by Good Housekeeping in partnership with 3M Philippines, brand ambassadors Coni Tejada, home improvement expert, and celebrity parents Cheska and Doug Kramer all shared practical home improvement and organization tips. There were also booths, games and freebies for everyone who attended the event.
I took a photo of their wall with hooks set up for hats, belts and accessories as my design inspiration since I super need to organize those items in our home. I later on found out that they are going to have a photo contest for the attendees so I submitted the photo I took – and I won!
This is my entry for the #3MGHDIY photo contest:
The hooks and hangers are not just for accessories and photo frames. You can also use these hooks to hang your basket of cleaning products for easier access and a more organized look. It is also possible to use these to hang your curtain pole (but be sure to check the weight capacity of the hook!). As Jermits Rabonza, 3M Philippines Consumer and Home Improvement Markets Division Product Manager, shares:

I certainly need these products, my house is a mess all the time.
I’ve been reading a lot about these 3M hooks, I’ll have to look for these in the mall soon!
They’re more expensive than other hooks, but very durable (I’ve tried cheaper hooks and only got frustrated because they kept falling off! Haha).
This looks like a superfun event that will unleash your creativity!
fun in DIY with my fave hooks!
I’m really hopeless when it comes to home decorating haha. But those hooks are great. Think I’ll get my hands on some so that I can hang a few photos on our wall.
mukhang matibay talaga ang hooks ha. your idea is grand! i think i’ll pick up a few hooks this week and try that out to see if that would work here. desperate to organize my bags.:)
It really sucks that I missed this event. I’m so OC and super love organizing products. 🙂
I love 3M products! I know they’re reliable than other brands in the market that also sell hooks kaso others would fall off so easily. Ang 3M, sobrang tibay!
I love 3M products. I always use the command hook to hang anything because I don’t like to drill our walls or doors. The aircon filter in that photo is a must have too, it makes my life easier in cleaning our aircon filter. Congrats!
Ito ba ung event sa megamall last week? sayang di ako naka punta, i like DIY’s pa naman.
Yes 🙂 I like the event, maraming DIY ideas na tinuro.
