KidZania Manila Unveils New Snack Factory

Last month, the minis and I went to KidZania Manila to have a try at the newly improved Jack & Jill snack factory. At the facility, kids get to discover how snacks are prepared, cooked, and packaged by doing the work themselves.

“We’re very very proud to show you a whole new world of possibilities and a place where stories of fun can start—an even better, more improved and definitely more fun, Jack ‘n Jill snack factory. We made sure that everything is made more interactive and in-depth, from combining the raw ingredients up to the final packaging process,” URC Jack ‘n Jill senior brand manager for fabricated potato segment and mixed snack segment Ivy Tan said.

In the snack factory, youngsters become “Snack Engineers” and embark on an adventure that starts at the sanitation chamber to ensure a clean factory environment. They then experience the actual snack-making process where they turn raw ingredients into powder form then into dough. They bring the dough to the work table where they flatten it and use special cutters to create the various shapes of chips. Finally, they place it inside the cooking and drying chambers then season and flavor the chips at the packaging station.

Along with the newly improved snack factory, the premier play city has over 90 roleplaying activities for kids. Through the power of play, kids develop a keener sense of coordination and following directions so they can produce good results.


“In our city, kids learn just how fun life truly can be with the adult role as they explore, as they experience and enjoy it through different work and careers for them. . . . After all, it’s these kids who grow up to shape and mold the world, and it starts with them having fun as they do just that,” KidZania Manila content manager Ikey Canoy explained.
